While outside - Pendant ce temps là dehors

Well yes, how about the outside? After sampling several bricks suppliers and adjusting the budget which was already pretty high they finally started. and for some budget reasons we decided to go for vinyl on the side and the back and red traditional bricks on the 2 sides facing the 2 streets (as we are in a corner!). 

Tiens, oui et l’extérieur? Après avoir échantillonné plusieurs fournisseurs de briques et ajusté le budget qui était déjà plutôt élevé ils ont enfin démarré. Et pour raisons budgétaire uniquement, nous avons opté pour du PVC à l'arrière et sur le coté et de la brique sur les parties faisant face aux rues (car nous sommes à une intersection).

Doors and woodwork - Portes et boiseries

Sanding, repairing, sanding, spraying, spraying! then wait for the pro to nail and then patching again and spraying again!!! enough to be busy for another weekend!

Ponçage, réparation, ponçage, pulvérisation, pulvérisation! puis attendre que les pros cloutent and bouchage de trous et pulvérisation!!! de quoi s'occuper pour un autre week end!

Fun part - partie sympa

 We wanted to give a personal touch the the new area by adding some fun wallpaper. here some of the options we've considered, hard to just pick 2!

Nous avons voulu donner une petite touche personnelle à la nouvelle partie en mettant un papier peint plutôt original. trop du choix! dur de n'en choisir que 2!

time for colors - on passe à la couleur

We've kept this part for us as we've started to master rolling last year! The plan was to spray the primer and roll the colors. well primer is a bit thick and our sprayer isn't a really powerful tool. it works well for doors but for primer it's started to jam after 10 minutes! nice ! so rolling it was;  

Nous avons gardé cette partie à faire nous même comme nous avions acquis pas mal d'expérience l'année dernière! Le plan était de d'appliquer la sous couche au pistolet et de rouler les couleurs. Bien, la sous couche est assez visqueuse et notre pistolet a peinture n'est pas très puissant; il marche bien pour des portes mais pour la sous couche il a commencé à se boucher rapidement! sympathique! nous avons donc appliquer les 3 couches au rouleau!

It's all about white - Une histoire de blanc

The kids will probably miss the big trucks, I won't ! New step means new delivery, means new trucks! Last step for the walls after insulation is drywall. Plaster is definitely not used anymore, which means faster work ... well not the sure. but anyway it's done and well done!

Les enfants se souviendront des gros camions, ca leur manquera surement; moi un peu moins! Dernière étape pour les murs après l'isolation, le placoplâtre! Le plâtre à l'ancienne n'est définitivement plus utilisé dans la région, ce qui veut dire travail plus rapide... bon pas forcément mais bon c'est fait et bien fait!

Electricity, Plumbing and insulation - Electricité, plomberie et isolation

Next step was inside with the energy connections, inspections and then we were able to close with insulation;  it is beginning to look a lot like a house...

Etape suivante s'est passée à l'intérieur avec les énergies, les inspections et nous avons ensuite pu fermer les murs avec la laine de verre; cela commence a ressembler de plus en plus... à une maison!
